Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center,  located in Peoria, AZ, is seeking our Chief Emergency Veterinarian to come grow with us!


AVECCC - Peoria is looking for a leader who seeks to constantly improve the standards of patient care with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.  They would be responsible for leading the staff doctors and partnering with the Medical Director and board-certified emergency and critical care specialists to oversee the medical services in the ER while promoting an environment of teamwork, compassion, and quality. This position will work closely with the Technician Supervisors, Hospital Director and Medical Director to achieve hospital goals.

We are an extremely busy VECCS Level 1 Emergency and Critical Care hospital, with a large focus on staff training and development. We strive to practice the highest quality of medicine while growing the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary medical staff.  A robust rotating internship and emergency and critical care residency program are in place and house officers are overseen by their respective leader.


AVECCC is part of a multi-specialty veterinary campus at both our Gilbert and Peoria locations. Our two locations let us best serve East Valley, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, and the surrounding areas. We are proud to partner with highly experienced board-certified veterinary specialists to provide a community of pet medical care under one roof.

Our brand new 15,000 square foot hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide our patients with advanced medical care, including:

  • High flow nasal oxygen unit
  • Servo-i Ventilator
  • 64 slice CT
  • Element i for in-house cortisol, bile acids and T4 testing
  • Electronic treatment sheets (SmartFlow)
  • Web-based electronic medical records (EzyVet) accessible off site
  • PrismaFlex unit foor extracorporeal therapy (CRRT + TPE) at Gilbert locations, where cases can be transferred.

Shared space, single unit hospital with on-site specialists in ECC, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology and Dentistry.
