ABC Veterinary Hospital located in San Marcos, CA is seeking an experienced Managing Veterinarian to join our practice!


ABC Veterinary Hospital utilizes cutting-edge veterinary medical expertise and technology in the care and treatment of your pet. Our staff of veterinary specialists have been providing quality veterinary services for pet owners in North San Diego for over 25 years. We believe that pets are important members of our families and we treat each pet as if it were our very own. In order to better diagnose and accurately treat our pet clients, ABC Veterinary Hospital is equipped with advanced digital radiology, endoscopy and a modern diagnostic laboratory.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, leading a team of skilled veterinary professionals. 
  • Managing staff members
  • Implementing best practices in veterinary medicine
  • Fostering a positive work culture
  • Play a key role in client communication, practice growth strategies, and maintaining compliance with veterinary regulations
  • Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
  • Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.

 

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
  • 5+ years of veterinary experience 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
  • Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
  • Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
  • Manages time and tasks appropriately.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
