Calabasas Animal Clinic & Holistic Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and visionary Managing Veterinarian to lead our team and shape the future of our progressive veterinary practice. Located just minutes from Malibu and surrounded by scenic trails, our clinic has proudly served the Calabasas community and beyond since 2009.

About Our Clinic

We’re not your average animal hospital. Our practice uniquely integrates conventional veterinary medicine with alternative treatments, providing a truly comprehensive approach to pet health and wellness. Our services include:

  • Physical rehabilitation & underwater treadmill therapy

  • Acupuncture & cold laser therapy

  • Digital radiography & ultrasonography

  • In-house diagnostics & full laboratory

  • Surgery & dentistry

  • Personalized, integrative care plans




Your Role as Medical Director

As our Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission of excellence in integrative veterinary care by:

  • Setting clinical standards and medical protocols

  • Leading and mentoring a passionate team of DVMs and support staff

  • Championing patient care and client satisfaction

  • Partnering with practice leadership to support business growth

  • Overseeing regulatory compliance and safety standards

  • Innovating with new treatments, services, and technologies

  • Cultivating a positive, collaborative, and forward-thinking team culture

  • Encouraging integration of holistic therapies with traditional care

  • Up to $200,000 base salary + monthly production bonuses

What We’re Looking For

  • DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution

  • Active California veterinary license in good standing

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or senior role

  • Strong surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills

  • Passion for team leadership and mentorship

  • Interest in or experience with integrative/holistic veterinary medicine (acupuncture certification a plus)

  • Proficiency with digital medical records and practice management systems
