Job Opportunity: Managing Veterinarian at Lake Street Animal Hospital

Location: Roselle, IL (Northwest suburbs of Chicago)

Lake Street Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate, skilled Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) to join our AAHA-accredited team. As a MDVM, you'll play an essential role in leading a talented team of veterinary professionals while providing exceptional care to pets and their families.

About Lake Street Animal Hospital:

  • A 5-doctor practice located in a newly expanded facility with modern amenities, including:
    • 5 exam rooms (1 feline-exclusive)
    • Treatment area, surgery suite, dental suite, and separate grooming suite
    • 1.5 Techs per Doctor ratio
    • In-house diagnostic and laboratory services (IDEXX Procyte, Snap tests, Sedivue, etc.)
    • In-house abdominal and cardiac ultrasound, digital radiography, and dental radiography
    • Companion Therapeutic Laser
    • Expanding exotics practice
  • Focus on providing the highest quality care with an emphasis on compassion, client education, and a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in patient care and client interactions.
  • Perform physical exams, diagnostic procedures, surgery, and dental procedures.
  • Develop and execute treatment plans while maintaining patient comfort and minimizing stress.
  • Mentor and develop the veterinary support team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets’ health, diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Illinois.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion for high-quality veterinary care and client relationships.
