Managing Veterinarian
Big Sky Animal Medical Center – Great Falls, Montana

Big Sky Animal Medical Center, located in scenic Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Managing Veterinarian (DVM) to join and lead our growing team.

About the Role

The Managing Veterinarian will split their time between clinical responsibilities and administrative leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian with strong emergency experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring, onboarding, and supporting new and relief veterinarians

  • Collaborating with the Practice Manager on staffing and disciplinary matters

  • Providing coverage for open shifts (including daytime, overnight, and holiday rotations as needed)

  • Serving as a point of contact for medical and client-related questions

  • Assisting in evaluating and planning major equipment purchases, pharmaceuticals, and facility upgrades

  • Addressing client concerns and assisting with complex case management

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in emergency veterinary medicine and a strong interest in developing leadership and mentorship skills. You will have the opportunity to train alongside our current Managing DVM for a smooth transition and ongoing support.
