The Opportunity

Brightwood Animal Hospital in Mentor, Ohio seeks a Managing Veterinarian (or someone that would like to work into a leadership role) to join our fun, hardworking, compassionate team as we continue to grow! Serving an affluent demographic area our progressive, small animal practice stresses comprehensive and compassionate medicine and surgery in a spacious and well-equipped facility. Brightwood Animal Hospital has provided high-quality veterinary care and grooming services to the local community for over 35 years.

We support local rescues such as the Humane Society, Rescue Village, Lake County Dog Shelter and Ashtabula County Dog Shelter by providing free first exams to adopted pets. It is important we give back to the community and assist in providing medical services for animals in need. 

As the Medical Director at Brightwood Animal Hospital, you'll keep doing what you love - practicing veterinary medicine and seeing the furry faces that make your day. But you'll also provide vital medical leadership, oversee the veterinary team, ensure we follow all the rules, and cultivate an environment where exceptional pet care thrives. You'll develop medical protocols, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with the practice manager on finances, budgeting, and operational optimization.
