Marketing Business Partner (Remote, Temporary)

Ethos Veterinary Health

Job Description

Turn strategy into impact. Help hospitals grow. Shape the future of veterinary marketing.

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a talented and driven Marketing Business Partner (MBP) to join our Growth Enablement team. This is a temporary opportunity of approximately 5 to 6 months, with potential for extension or a continued role based on organizational need and individual impact.

Reporting to the Director of Referral Relations, the MBP serves as a strategic advisor and business partner to hospital leadership, local referral teams, and Field Operations leaders across the East region of the Ethos network (approximately 70 specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals). This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, field execution, and operational partnership, helping hospital teams turn centralized marketing resources and best practices into local competitive advantages.

If you are a seasoned marketing professional who thrives in dynamic fast-paced environments, loves solving real business problems, and wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and pet parents, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Drive Hospital Growth Strategy and Execution (Primary Focus)

Develop and support hospital-level marketing strategies grounded in performance data, local market dynamics, and operational goals.

Translate national marketing campaigns, materials, and programs into localized, actionable plans that drive referrals, patient volume, and brand awareness.

Partner with hospital leadership and local referral teams to strengthen referral consideration and expand awareness of hospital services and capabilities.

Build and maintain toolkits, best practices, training materials, and SOPs to support consistent, high-quality marketing execution across assigned markets.

Travel periodically to supported markets to build relationships, participate in growth planning, and support key hospital and field meetings.

Serve as a Strategic Partner and Growth Enabler

Act as the primary marketing advisor for assigned markets, partnering closely with Field Operations leaders, hospital leaders, and local growth teams.

Coach and enable hospital teams to confidently adopt and execute marketing programs that drive same-store growth and market expansion.

Translate centralized marketing strategies into clear, practical guidance that empowers local teams to execute effectively and consistently.

Activate Programs and Optimize Performance

Partner with centralized growth marketing teams to activate paid media, digital, social, email, and integrated campaigns across assigned hospitals.

Guide hospitals in the effective use of marketing toolkits, templates, and self-service resources.

Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and optimize campaigns in real time to balance near-term outcomes with long-term growth.

Identify best practices, flag risks early, and recommend course corrections to improve results.

Champion the Brand and Support Organizational Learning

Ensure all hospital marketing efforts align with national and local brand standards and compliance requirements.

Serve as a voice of the field by gathering insights, feedback, and learnings from hospitals and sharing them with centralized marketing teams.

Pilot new programs, tools, and innovative approaches in supported markets and evaluate impact and scalability.

Collaborate with Brand, Communications, and PR teams on reputation management and public relations initiatives as needed.

Who You Are

A Marketing Leader Who Gets Things Done

A proven marketing professional with experience developing and executing multi-channel strategies that drive measurable business growth.

Equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute; you do not wait for perfect conditions to make progress.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

A Natural Partner and Communicator

Skilled at influencing and enabling teams without direct authority; you build trust quickly and make the people around you better.

A strong communicator across in-person, phone, email, and virtual platforms, able to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable guidance.

A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and contributes to a positive, high-performance culture.

Analytically Sharp and Adaptable

Data fluent with strong analytical instincts and the ability to use performance insights to guide decisions and optimize outcomes.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and responding quickly to evolving business priorities.

Curious, innovative, and always looking for smarter ways to drive results.

Personal Attributes

Mission-driven: motivated by Ethos' mission to inspire hope through unparalleled care.

Grit and resilience: determination and professionalism in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Coachable, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow within a dynamic organization.

A servant-leader mindset: people-first, empowering, and invested in the success of those you support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

7 or more years of progressive marketing experience with a track record of developing and executing successful strategies and campaigns.

Strong understanding of marketing analytics and performance measurement, with experience using data to inform strategy and decisions.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence across diverse stakeholders.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience with digital, social, and email marketing platforms.

Candidates must be located on the East Coast or available to work consistently on East Coast time.

Preferred:

Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or multi-site service-based organizations.

Experience supporting field operations, sales, and/or clinical teams in a marketing capacity.

Familiarity with digital analytics tools and performance dashboards.
