About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager, Professional Marketing, B2B, to support the development and execution of animal care provider–focused marketing programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Professional Marketing, this role will help drive awareness, engagement, adoption, and growth among key audiences including industry partners, veterinarians, practice administrators, and clinical staff. 

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of professional marketing experience in healthcare, veterinary, pet care, or related markets, with a strong track record of executing integrated marketing campaigns that deliver measurable business impact. 

This role will play an important part in shaping how veterinary professionals and internal stakeholders interact with our brand—supporting our reputation as a leader in evidence-based medicine and research in alignment with our vision to Revolutionize Veterinary Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Market Support:

  • Support the development and execution of the B2B marketing strategy for Science, Clinical, Ethos Discovery, and VetBloom Learning & Development initiatives in alignment with overall business objectives. 
  • Contribute to go-to-market planning for educational campaigns, research publications, scientific studies, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Gather and analyze market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform marketing plans. 
  • Assist in annual planning, budgeting, and KPI tracking processes. 

Campaign & Program Execution:

  • Lead execution of integrated marketing programs across content, digital, events/conferences, clinical education campaigns, and sales enablement resources (supporting referral relationship managers). 
  • Ensure marketing communications are tailored effectively to professional healthcare audiences (e.g., veterinarians, nurses, technicians, lab directors, industry partners). 
  • Coordinate timelines, assets, and agency/vendor deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality execution. 
  • Monitor performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Medical, Science, Ethos Discovery, Training/Education, Innovation, and Referral Management teams to ensure aligned messaging and integrated execution. 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop compelling clinical, technical, and scientific marketing content. 
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external agencies or vendors. 

Content & Thought Leadership Support:

  • Contribute to development of thought leadership materials, clinical marketing assets, scientific communications, case studies, and customer success stories. 
  • Help strengthen brand positioning within the professional veterinary market through consistent and compelling messaging. 
  • Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, engaging marketing content. 

Budget & Vendor Management Support:

  • Support management of marketing budgets for assigned programs and ensure efficient allocation of resources. 
  • Track ROI and campaign performance to inform future investment decisions. 
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agencies, vendors, and cross-functional partners. 

Scope & Leadership:

  • Manage Marketing Associate role while collaborating across the organization 
  • May mentor junior team members or manage project-based contributors. 
  • Accountable for delivering high-quality, on-strategy marketing initiatives that support commercial and professional engagement objectives. 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, preferably in healthcare, veterinary care, pet care, medical devices, or pharmaceutical/biotech sectors. 
  • Audience Expertise: Experience marketing to healthcare professionals, clinicians, technical decision-makers, or scientific communities. 
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to leverage data, market research, and competitive insights to inform marketing decisions. 
  • Executional Excellence: Demonstrated success executing integrated programs across digital, content, events, and sales enablement channels. 
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific/technical information into compelling marketing content. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field. 

ShapePreferred Skills

  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and ABM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo). 
  • Background in scientific marketing, clinical communications, or educational campaign execution. 
  • Familiarity with veterinary industry trends, professional education ecosystems, and healthcare provider decision-making processes.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000-$85,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
