Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic marketing professional to join our Brand Marketing team and help shape the future of Ethos Veterinary Health. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, this one-of-a-kind role is pivotal in driving clinical study participation, activating industry partner contracts, and positioning our Science Consultancy as a core differentiator.


Ethos Science Consultancy provides unparalleled scientific support, clinical study participation, and business-side guidance for researchers and organizations in animal health. Leveraging the expertise of veterinarians and insights from over 145 specialty and emergency hospitals nationwide, our consultancy offers critical qualitative and quantitative insights, supporting innovation and informed decision-making within the fields of biopharma, food, and devices.


This role requires strong strategic marketing and communication skills, negotiation expertise, selling abilities, and the capacity to connect dots and drive initiatives from start to finish. Collaborating closely with our Director of Science, and cross-functional partners, you will develop impactful marketing plans, enhance branding, and build industry relationships. Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Activation (60%)
    • Initiate, develop, execute, and measure marketing plans tied to sponsor contracts
    • Collaborate with hospitals, referral relations, and sponsors to drive study   participation
    • Key activities include:
      • Monthly email campaigns to referring veterinarians and pet parents, in partnership with NVA GP, consisting of over 1100 General Practices across North America
      •  Develop and execute strategies to recruit veterinary hospitals and teams into clinical trials, and provide ongoing support to enhance pet owner engagement and increase pet enrollment in studies
      • Paid media campaigns and agency relations
      • Generating marketing collateral like flyers and handouts
      •  Plan and coordinate on-site events at veterinary hospitals, including continuing education opportunities in partnership with referral relations  and field marketing for the referring veterinary community and pet parent events, to generate interest and drive enrollment in clinical studies
      • Conduct focus groups and surveys with veterinary teams, alongside data mining of relevant cases, to gather actionable insights. Synthesize findings into comprehensive reports and presentations to deliver valuable market intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  2. Strategic Integration (40%)
    • Position Science Consultancy as a core differentiator for Ethos
    • Key activities include:
      • Enhancing employer branding (EVP) and talent acquisition marketing in collaboration with the Brand and Events teams
      • Aligning internal and external communications in collaboration with the Communications team
      • Optimizing website content and usability
      • Developing B2B marketing strategies to grow industry client relationships
      • Partnering with Dr. Hill on strategies for sponsorships, trials, and science capability growth

Position Requirements:

  • Required experience: experience in veterinary medicine, 5+ years in marketing, campaign management, media planning and buying.
  • Required skills: strong marketing strategy and communication skills, negotiation skills, selling skills, a strong self-starter and dot connector
  • Preferred: experience in a hospital setting, sales, event management, and a strong interest in science



The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$110,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
