The Opportunity

As Medical Director, you’ll lead a large, skilled team that includes emergency doctors and board-certified specialists. In partnership with the Hospital Director, you’ll oversee medical quality, support operational excellence, and foster a positive and professional environment where collaboration thrives.

You’ll split your time between clinical work and leadership, maintaining your hands-on emergency skills while mentoring and guiding your team. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about team development, forward-thinking medical care, and building strong, trusting relationships—both internally and within the wider veterinary community.


What You’ll Bring

  • DVM or equivalent degree, and eligibility for Ohio veterinary licensure
  • Proven emergency medicine experience
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership or mentoring role
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for driving positive change and medical excellence
  • Comfort leading a team that includes specialists

Nice-to-Haves

  • Advanced leadership training or certification
  • Experience mentoring new grads or early-career veterinarians
  • Creative problem-solving mindset

  • Total annual compensation of $175,000–$200,000, which includes base salary plus a leadership stipend
