Job Description

Prestige Animal Clinic in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Medical Director to lead our practice.  Prestige Animal Clinic is a small animal practice serving dogs and cats.  We provide general medicine, surgery, and preventative medicine for our patients.  Our ideal candidate is collaborative, passionate about leadership, willing to mentor other DVMs, proficient in medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and client communication.


 

Job Summary

The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing Associate Veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine.  The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.

In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of Divisional Leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Skills and Basic Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Arizona
  • Leads employees by coaching, correcting, developing, and motivating them to achieve success.
  • Engages with NVA leadership effectively in order to drive outcomes at the clinic level.
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
  • Previous ownership experience is a plus
