With more than 60 years of service in the community and a recently expanded hospital, we’re ready for our next phase of growth—and we’re looking for a leader to help shape that future.

We’re a 4-doctor, full-service practice serving primarily companion animals with a collaborative team culture that values laughter, balance, and top-tier medicine. You’ll find the support and autonomy you need to lead, innovate, and practice high-quality care—without sacrificing your own quality of life.

As our Medical Director, you will:

  • Serve as the clinical leader of the hospital, driving medical quality and patient care standards.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight for associate veterinarians.
  • Partner with the Hospital Manager to manage hospital operations, including budgeting, staffing, and workflow optimization.
  • Promote a collaborative, supportive, and positive team environment.
  • Help identify and implement new service offerings aligned with your areas of interest.
  •  This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving team, step into a leadership role with significant influence, and still enjoy a flexible schedule and work-life balance.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Modern Medicine: Our new hospital offers 5 exam rooms, a comfort suite with private entrance/exit, digital radiography, ultrasound, and two dental tables.
  • Supportive Team: Strong tech-to-doctor ratios and a highly collaborative, fun-loving team. Strong DVM tenure.
  • Balanced Schedule: 4-day work week, no weekends or on-call, 60 minute lunch
  • Diverse Caseload: Primarily dogs and cats, with one DVM seeing pocket pets

Your Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in California
  • Passion for leadership, mentorship, and team culture
  • Committed to practicing the highest standards of medicine
  • Skilled in balancing clinical work with operational oversight

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Up to $160,000 base salary depending on experience + production-based bonuses
  • Bonuses: Up to $50K in combined sign-on, retention, and relocation bonuses
  • Equity Opportunity: Cash buy-in available for up to 10% hospital ownership
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, PTO, paid CE and license dues, maternity support, wellness programs, pet insurance discounts, and more
