We are seeking a growth-oriented Managing Veterinarian to join our collaborative 5 doctor team! Come lead a team that has developed a reputation for its outstanding professionalism, exceptional client service and progressive, quality medicine. You will be assisted by well-trained, highly skilled technicians, CVTs, and administrative staff. And, we like to have fun too!


St. Johns Veterinary Hospital is located on the beautiful historic St. Augustine, FL and has been providing exceptional pet care for over 40 years. The hospital itself has been doubled in size to 10,000 square feet and has been remodeled to provide a state of the art intensive care area within the charm of the original house.

St. John’s Veterinary Hospital is a small animal hospital offering a cat clinic and exotics expertise. We have cared for sick and injured wildlife for over 20 years at no cost. Over 500 animals are cared for each year by our veterinarians. Birds, reptiles and mammals of all kinds are triaged, treated medically or surgically and sent to local wildlife groups for rehabilitation.


ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

We offer a wide range of diagnostics and state of the art equipment including: digital radiography, dental digital radiography, laparoscopy, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We also offer acupuncture and cold laser therapy. Our dedicated surgical suite and intensive care area are equipped with complete monitoring equipment including ECG, pulse ox, and capnography. We have a comprehensive in-house lab, CBC analyzer, serum chemistry & electrolyte analyzer, and in-house culture and sensitivity testing.

St. Augustine is the oldest city in America and offers historic architecture, great food, music and culture. The city offers historic homes, beachside condos and suburban homes.  St. Augustine is also ideal for all outdoor sports - hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, or strolling on the beach. The area also offers some of the best schools in the state!


QUALIFICATIONS

DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree for an accredited university, active Florida DVM license in good standing. Professional demeanor and appearance, maintain the highest standards in providing compassionate, high quality health care and services. We are looking for someone who is positive and can maintain good relationships and communications with staff and clients. We see a variety of species, in addition to companion small animals, and interest in exotics is a plus.
