Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center (VVERC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Director to lead our team in Winchester, VA. What You’ll Do:

As Medical Director, you’ll partner with the Hospital Director and collaborate closely with our Ethos Veterinary Health leadership teams to:

  • Provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for a team of experienced and passionate emergency veterinarians.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and supportive work environment that empowers all team members.
  • Develop and refine medical protocols, ensuring high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Play a central role in our ER mentorship program, helping grow the next generation of emergency clinicians.
  • Take on approximately 75% clinical and 25% administrative responsibilities, balancing hands-on medicine with strategic leadership.
