We are looking for an exceptional Multi-Site Hospital Operations Manager to lead 2 locations in Oakland County, MI!

We are looking for a people centric leader who blends their knowledge of veterinary medicine with a knowledge of personnel management and business acumen to implement strategic and data driven decisions. We have a well-established infrastructure of support staff who are looking for a skilled and dynamic operational leader to guide them to learn and grow beyond their expectations.

Ideal candidates for this role have previous operations experience in HR/people management, P&L/budgeting, strong organizational and planning skills, high levels of customer service and a proven track record of thriving in a servant leadership business operations environment. While a background in the veterinary industry is preferred, it’s not required. We are open to business operations leaders from retail, hospitality or other service and servant leadership related industries. Multi-site operations experience strongly preferred but not necessary.

The Opportunity:

As a Multi-site Hospital Operations Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital management team, collaborating closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of each hospital. Your role will drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a hospital culture focused on top-notch patient care and exceptional customer service. You will oversee the planning and coordination of hospital operations while creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Given the managerial responsibilities and the need for in-person interaction with clients and employees, regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position at both locations.


Responsibilities:

  • Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for the hospital's performance
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast the hospital's needs
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs
  • Manage payroll for hospital staff
  • Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs
  • Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices
  • Lead the hospital team to enhance processes and workflows, covering client service, operations, and administrative tasks
  • Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Establish and drive the culture of the hospital
  • Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs
  • Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience
  • Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus
