Job Description

Bush Veterinary Neurology Service is eager to offer a one-year neurology /neurosurgery internship. The goal of the program is for the intern to achieve a residency in Neurology/Neurosurgery. 


BVNS is supported by 8 board-certified neurologists and a resident in neurology/ neurosurgery. The intern will develop by participating in case management, topic rounds, journal club, book chapter review, and labs in surgery and electrodiagnostic evaluation.  Further development will occur from teaching opportunities and participation in a clinical research project.


Requirements include the completion of a 12-month rotating internship, excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

About BVNS


BVNS was established in 2005 and has trained 8 neurology interns that are now board certified in neurology by the ACVIM. The intern will provide clinical support in our Rockville, MD location and have a 5 day work week that could include weekend work. The clinic has a new, state-of -the art GE  1.5 T MRI, 64 slice CT scanner, dedicated neurosurgical suite, Cadwell electrodiagnostic equipment (EEG, EMG / NC, BAER), in-house laboratory, and is supported by a large multi-specialty hospital called The Life Centre.

Starting salary 50,000, 2 weeks paid time off, 5 CE day, and CE allowance of 2000 dollars, health insurance
