Okanagan Veterinary Hospital - Part-Time RVT
Okanagan Veterinary Hospital
Job Description
Come for the medicine. Stay for the people. Grow with the opportunity.
Not every day in veterinary medicine looks the same — and that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and hands-on patient care, you’ll fit right in.
Okanagan Veterinary Hospital is looking for a part-time Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our team.
This role is open to both experienced RVTs and new graduates looking to build their skills in a supportive environment.
Our newly renovated hospital includes a dental suite, dedicated cat ward, multiple exam rooms, and upgraded dog runs. We primarily see cats and dogs, with occasional variety — including pocket pets, capybaras, and even kangaroos.
We’re a collaborative group that values strong patient care, teamwork, and a positive work environment. Whether your interests are in surgery, dentistry, patient care, or client education, we support our RVTs in developing their skills and confidence.
What we Offer:
- Part-time (24–32 hrs/week)
- 8–10 hr shifts (evenings + rotating Saturdays)
- No on-call or after-hours
- $24 - $32/hour (based on experience)
- RRSP matching
- Wellness Spending Account
- Extended health benefits
- Paid annual dues + CE allowance
- Staff pet discounts + scrub allowance
- Supportive, team-focused environment
- Kelowna lifestyle — lakes, hiking, vineyards nearby
What we’re looking for:
- Licensed RVT (in good standing) or an experienced VT
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Commitment to patient care and learning
- Availability for evenings + rotating Saturdays
Bring your skills, your curiosity, and your commitment to patient care — we’ll provide the support.
