Outpatient Veterinary Technician (Day Shift) – Full Time
General Practice & Urgent Care | Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
I-20 Animal Medical Center is hiring a Full-Time Outpatient Veterinary Technician to support our daytime general practice and urgent care services in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
This role is ideal for a technician with 2–3+ years of experience in emergency or urgent care settings who enjoys client interaction, anesthesia monitoring, and being part of a collaborative outpatient team.
I-20 Animal Medical Center is a 24/7 emergency and multi-service animal hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care, advanced dental services, boarding, grooming, and in-house laboratory diagnostics.

Outpatient Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
• Safely restrain various species during examinations and procedures
• Administer vaccines and prescribed medications
• Collect blood, urine, and fecal samples
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and radiology
• Prepare patients for surgery
• Induce and monitor anesthesia
• Assist veterinarians during medical and surgical procedures
• Place IV catheters and administer fluids
• Perform urinalysis and interpret fecal and cytology samples
• Educate pet owners on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, thorough medical records
• Remain calm and efficient in urgent or high-volume situations

• Full-time
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 4 days on / 4 days off rotation

Compensation
• Starting at $22/hour, based on experience

Qualifications
• 2–3+ years of experience in veterinary medicine (emergency or urgent care preferred)
• Strong anesthesia and surgical support skills
• Comfortable with client communication and education
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong technical competency
