Job Description

Appalachian Veterinary Hospital, is a full-service, 6-doctor, small animal practice located in Newport, TN.  Our professional and courteous staff seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for our valued pets. We are looking for a part time DVM who is looking for flexibility and work/life balance to join the team! 


We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. Appalachian Veterinary Hospital strives to offer excellence in veterinary care to Newport and surrounding areas.

All experience levels are welcome to apply!  We also offer a 12-month personalized mentorship program for all new grads who join NVA!

  • Wellness Exams, including vaccines, parasite prevention and control, nutritional counseling, and labs

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Tennessee
