Deerfield Animal Care Center is located on the outskirts of Downtown Chicago in Deerfield, IL. We are seeking an experienced professional pet groomer to work at our busy veterinary clinic. We offer commission-based pay, employee discounts, and a great working environment!

Brief Position Description:

In addition to bathing a pet’s fur, our professional groomers inspect the animal for any external signs of parasites, disease, or injury and report their findings to the veterinary staff or owners. Pet groomers are responsible for sanitizing all of the clippers, combs, brushes and other tools used on pets to prevent spreading diseases among their clients. They must also maintain a safe and sanitary work area to mitigate risks to both human and animal visitors.

General job responsibilities include:

Perform basic pet grooming services- bathing, brushing, nail trims, etc
Discuss grooming needs with pet owners and follow their instructions as well as breed standards
Must be knowledgeable about grooming products including; clippers, shampoo's, etc.
Must be able to clip, shave, and trim coats as needed.
Ideal applicant will be able to build a strong relationship with clients and have a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $5,000.00 per month
