Pet Grooming Assistant / Bather

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and team-oriented Bather to join our grooming department. This role is essential to ensuring pets have a comfortable, safe, and positive grooming experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and enjoys hands-on work with animals. Previous experience is a plus, but not required, on-the-job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients during pet drop-off and pick-up, ensuring excellent customer service and clear communication.
  • Perform bathing services, including standard baths, medicated baths, and coat conditioning, according to each pet’s needs and veterinary recommendations.
  • Safely and thoroughly dry pets using towels, high-velocity dryers, or other appropriate equipment.
  • Handle pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments with patience, confidence, and care.
  • Assist groomers as needed to support a smooth workflow in the grooming department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bathing and grooming areas.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a healthy environment for both pets and team members.
  • Document services performed and communicate any observations about a pet’s condition or behavior to the grooming team.
