Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grooming Assistant to join our team. As a Grooming Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and grooming services to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animals and have experience in animal handling and grooming.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the groomer in providing grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and trimming
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Provide basic care for animals including feeding, walking
- Assist with nail trims, ear cleaning, and dental care as needed
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals during their stay at the grooming facility
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns

Skills:
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures

- Knowledge of dog and cat behavior
- Knowledge of dog training techniques to assist with behavior management during grooming sessions
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs
- Experience in animal care or pet care, preferably in a veterinary or grooming setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and provide updates on their pets' grooming progress
- Knowledge of basic veterinary procedures and ability to assist veterinarians if necessary
