Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) – Full-Time (32-44hrs/week)

Looking for an RVT role where your skills are truly trusted and fully utilized?
Sherwood Veterinary Clinic is hiring a fully Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our busy, supportive team.
This position requires a confident, independent RVT who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment—at times as the only RVT on shift.
Schedule (Must Be Available)
- Weekdays: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Tuesday–Friday primarily)
- Fridays: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (as needed)
- Mondays: 2:00 PM – 8:00PM (as needed)
- Weekends: Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (rotation / as needed)
- Core expectation: weekday availability 2:00–8:00 PM minimum
- Weekend shifts are required
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside our skilled team in a busy clinical setting
- At times, function as the sole RVT on shift
- Assist with treatments, surgery, and anesthesia, patient and client care
- Perform radiography, lab diagnostics, and patient nursing care
- Support hospitalized patients and maintain clinic flow
- Communicate clearly with clients and support patient care plans
What We’re Looking For
- Fully registered RVT in Alberta (required)
- Confidence working independently as a sole RVT when needed
- Strong anesthesia, technical, and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, positive attitude with strong work ethic
