Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Okanagan Veterinary Hospital

Job Description

Come for the medicine. Stay for the people. Grow with the opportunity.

Let’s be honest no one becomes an RVT for the glamour. You do it because you’re passionate, resilient, and slightly obsessed with fur, feathers, and maybe a little chaos. If that sounds like you, we think you’ll like it here.

Okanagan Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we’re looking for a full-time RVT to join our fantastic team in beautiful Kelowna, BC! With major renovations wrapping up this summer, our hospital is getting a fresh new look  think new dental suite, dedicated cat ward, additional exam room, and upgraded dog runs. It’s the perfect time to come on board and be part of this exciting new chapter.

We’re a collaborative, compassionate, and genuinely fun group of animal lovers who believe in supporting one another, working hard, and laughing harder. Whether your passion is patient care, surgical nursing, dentistry, or client education, we give our RVTs the space and support to do what they do best.

We see mostly cats and dogs, but… for those who like a bit of variety, pocket pets, capybaras, and even the occasional kangaroo have walked (or hopped) through our doors. Every day is different here in the best way possible.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • A flexible schedule of weekdays and rotating Saturdays no on-call or after-hours
  • Competitive wages starting at $24–$35/hour, commensurate with experience
  • RRSP matching plan to help you plan for the future
  • Wellness Spending Account because your well-being matters
  • Extended health benefits
  • Paid annual professional dues
  • CE allowance and paid CE days
  • Staff discounts for your own furry crew
  • Scrub allowance
  • Supportive, skilled teammates who’ve got your back
  • The chance to live and work in one of Canada’s most beautiful destinations (vineyards, hiking and the lake just minutes away anyone?)

What we’re looking for:

  • A licensed RVT in good standing with a veterinary technician association
  • Someone who is confident, kind, and can pivot like a pro
  • Someone who thrives in a team environment, maintains professionalism, and wants to grow their skills
  • A love of animals, obviously
  • Bonus points if you bring snacks. Triple points if you share.
  • Bring your passion, your skills, and your love of animals we’ll provide the rest.
