Job Description
The base salary range for this full-time position is $30.00 - $35.00. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

RVT preferred, but a Senior Veterinary Assistant will be considered too!

Responsibilities
· As an RVT, you'll be an essential part of our veterinary team, providing vital support to our veterinarians in ensuring the utmost care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets
· Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures
· Monitor critically ill or injured patients closely
· Collaborate with the team to ensure around-the-clock care and treatment coordination
· Offer compassionate care and support to patients and their owners
· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
· Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging
· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
· Monitor and maintain medical equipment
· Communicate with pet owners regarding patient updates and treatment plans
· Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide care as needed
· RVT preferred, but a Senior Veterinary Assistant will be considered too!
· 2+ years of clinical experience
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
· Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
