Cary Veterinary Hospital, a small animal general practice in Cary, NC, is seeking an experienced or new graduate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, or CVT) to join our close-knit, collaborative medical team. Job Responsibilities:

· Assist veterinarians during exams, providing safe and effective restraint.

· Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.

· Perform routine dental cleanings and administer anesthesia under veterinarian supervision.

· Monitor anesthesia and provide post-operative care.

· Obtain diagnostic radiographs with proper positioning and technique.

· Perform lab tests (blood, urine, feces) to support diagnosis and treatment.

· Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer injections (IV, IM, SQ).

· Assist with surgery preparation, including shaving surgical sites and placing IV catheters.

· Maintain clean exam and treatment areas.

· Support client education and proper medical record keeping.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Certification as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT)

· Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates with passion and drive are welcome to apply!

· Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle and restrain animals safely, including aggressive animals.

· Professional, compassionate, and adaptable.

· Comfortable with the emotional and physical demands of a veterinary clinic, including euthanasia.

· Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.

· Experience with Avimark is a plus.

· Salary: $20–$24/hr based on experience (open to negotiation)
