Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Job Description

Animal Care Center of Polaris is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal canidate will play a key role in providing exceptional medical care to our patients and excellent service to thier owners. You will work alongside veterinarians, support staff and other RVT's in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures and surgeries. 

-Answer phone calls made to the clinic.

-Perform diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other technical procedures. 

-Monitor patients during surgery and recovery, ensuring their comfort and safety. 

-Maintain accurate patient records and update charts. 

-Educate pet owners on wellness care, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions. 

-Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical and treatment areas. 

-Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment. 

 

Qualifications: 

-Active registration as RVT with the State of Ohio.

-Strong technical skills, including proficiency in venipuncture and anesthesia monitoring.

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

-Compassion for animals and their owners. 

-Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.
