About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical SEO & Search Specialist to lead the execution and optimization of technical SEO initiatives across an enterprise, multi-location brick and mortar environment. This role will focus on improving crawlability, indexation, site performance, and structured data—while also partnering closely with content and brand teams to guide SEO-informed content strategies.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving complex SEO challenges, working with large sites, and translating technical insights into clear recommendations that drive measurable growth in organic search.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute technical SEO strategy across enterprise-scale, multi-domain, and multi-location websites
  • Conduct regular technical audits focused on crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, and page performance
  • Identify and resolve SEO issues related to redirects, canonicals, pagination, JavaScript rendering, and duplicate content
  • Partner with engineering, web development, and UX teams to implement SEO best practices and scalable solutions
  • Develop and maintain structured data (schema) strategies to support local search, services, reviews, and rich results
  • Support multi-location SEO efforts, including location page optimization, internal linking strategies, Google Business Profile alignment, and local listings consistency
  • Perform keyword research and search intent analysis to inform content recommendations for service pages, location pages, blogs, and educational resources
  • Provide clear SEO guidance to content teams, including page structure, metadata, internal linking, and optimization opportunities
  • Monitor organic search performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and third-party SEO tools
  • Track algorithm updates and proactively recommend adjustments to technical and content strategies
  • Create performance reports and translate technical findings into actionable insights for marketing and leadership stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong emphasis on technical SEO
  • Proven experience working with large, complex, or multi-location websites
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO concepts, including site architecture, indexing, crawling, JavaScript SEO, and page performance
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect technical performance to business outcomes
  • Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or other regulated industries is a plus

What We’re Looking For:

  • Highly analytical problem-solver with a technical mindset
  • Comfortable collaborating with developers, content creators, and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to balance technical execution with strategic content recommendations
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Passion for pets, animal health, and purpose-driven work
