Urgent Care by Ethos in Rancho Peñasquitos and Oceanside, California is part of the Ethos Veterinary Health network of over 150 Specialty, ER and Urgent Care hospitals, providing our clinicians the opportunity to be part of a larger network, but still maintain our distinctive identity.

We are in search of an Associate Medical Director to help grow Urgent Care by Ethos.

Our Care Centers:

  • Are open 7 days per week, with no overnights
  • Our practices bridge the gap between general practice and emergency
  • We offer care for common priority cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Click HERE for a list of services
  • Our buildings are specially designed to deliver efficient care and are furnished with advanced equipment and technologies. 
  • The Rancho Peñasquitos location has a surgical suite for advanced procedures and surgeries

The Associate Medical Director:

  • Is responsible for overseeing medical operations within the urgent care centers, serves as a mentor to staff, leads the advancement of high-quality patient care and client service, and has direct client and patient interaction.
  • Will work in collaboration with the Urgent Care Center Manager to maintain and build our relationships with the referring community.
  • Implements best practices for patient and client care.

The Candidate:

·       We are seeking individuals who are technically advanced as a veterinarian in the United States and poses strong emotional intelligence; those that are self-aware, have positive attitudes, authenticity, and empathy toward others.

  • Has at least 5+ years of veterinary practice in GP, ER or UC with proven leadership abilitiesstrong mentoring and team building skillsexcellent communication among colleagues and the referring community, and possess a foundation of business skills to work alongside the Urgent Care Clinic Manager to support the growing success of the center.
  • This candidate will possess an unwavering commitment to the highest level of quality medicine as well as client service.
