Job Summary:
This role provides leadership in developing, implementing, and monitoring medical compliance programs, including but not restricted to wellness programs and patient safety reporting, to support excellence in our hospital teams, mitigate risk, and maintain high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Wellness
- Responsible for medical oversite of wellness and preventative programing
- Liaison to the Wellness Team as the medical voice
- Content development and training for organizational wide education
- Regular meetings with the field teams across regions and division
- Support FMP’s as they work with their hospitals to develop wellness protocols
- DVM to DVM conversations at individual sites to increase compliance as needed
- Goal to increase penetration of wellness plans at NVA GP by 10% each year
Legal Compliance
- Partner with legal on creation of OSHA and DEA compliance
- Develop program to implement in sites
Patient Safety Event Reporting
- Monitor organizational wide data
- Develop and sustain in hospital PSE managers
- Track and report compliance metrics to senior leadership.
- Oversee corrective action planning processes including communications and training
- Content development and training for organizational wide education
- Promote open communication and foster a psychologically safe workplace environment.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical practice through awareness campaigns and ongoing support.
Cross Functional Support
- Growth and Innovation Team
- Legal Compliance Team
- Field Medical Partners
Measurement & Reporting
- Collect data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on engagement levels, areas for improvement, and recommended actions.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree
- 10+ years of experience in veterinary practice preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and influence change across diverse teams.
- Proficient in program development, facilitation, and evaluation.
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Work Environment:
- Remote with 30% travel as needed.
