Senior Project Manager, General Practice

National Veterinary Associates

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager, General Practice
Location: Remote
Company: National Veterinary Associates (NVA)
Reports to: Senior Director, PMO

Job Summary:
National Veterinary Associates is seeking a high-impact Senior Project Manager to lead complex, business-critical  initiatives that directly influence operational performance, growth, and client experience across our General Practice network.

This is not a traditional project management role. You are a strategic execution leader—someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, mobilize cross-functional teams, and drive initiatives from concept through adoption in a highly matrixed, multi-site environment.

You will own the full lifecycle of key initiatives, ensuring work is clearly defined, effectively executed, and delivers measurable impact.

The ideal candidate brings a strong project management background with experience in multi-site retail or healthcare organizations, along with a proven ability to operate in complex environments. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align stakeholders, guide change, and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design & Lifecycle Ownership

  • Lead initiatives across the full lifecycle—from early concept, scoping, and planning through execution, rollout, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Define clear project goals, success measures, and execution strategies, and track outcomes against those targets.
  • Ensure all work is structured, sequenced, and aligned to business &/or enterprise priorities.

Organize, Mobilize & Lead Teams

  • Lead cross-functional teams through coordinated efforts in Operations, Medical, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Technology.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate all project activities, ensuring teams remain coordinated, engaged, and progressing toward shared outcomes.
  • Deliver concise, actionable updates and translate complex work into clear narratives tailored to all levels of the organization. Including anchoring communications in “Why / Why Now / WIIFM” to support engagement and adoption.

Execution & Delivery Excellence

  • Drive execution with rigor—managing timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to intended business outcomes.
  • Maintain strong operational discipline through structured workplans, tracking mechanisms, and regular execution cadences.
  • Anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and adjust plans quickly while maintaining momentum and team alignment.
  • Define success metrics, track progress against KPIs, and report on outcomes, risks, and trends to ensure initiatives deliver expected results.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or projects.
  • Proven ability to manage full project lifecycle—from concept through execution and evaluation.
  • Experience in multi-site healthcare, retail, or service-based environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ($100-$130,000 range) and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.Top of Form
