Job Summary:

The Sr. Technology Procurement Specialist is responsible for the enterprise IT Procurement processes which includes supporting all phases of procurement, from requisition receipt to contract award. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, reviewing license agreements and contract terms, developing solicitation packages, evaluating offers, and negotiating agreements. The selected individual will be comfortable accessing and using technology-based inventory management, recording and reporting systems to enter and analyze information while ensuring adequate inventory stocking, release, and control.

                               

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, maintaining, and constantly improving procurement processes and asset and inventory management
  • Participate in the negotiation process with vendors on new products and services.
  • Analyze and report on vendor service performance.
  • Work closely with finance and leadership in tracking budget to actuals, improving purchasing workflows, and forecasting future needs and expenses.
  • Track and assist asset management with software, subscription, and support renewals.
  • Participate in asset management functions including ensuring data cleanliness and accuracy.
  • Inspecting inventory and reordering materials and technical components.
  • Review procurement items for categorization, coding, pricing, and information accuracy across all systems.
  • Manage daily IT hardware/software requests and issue Purchase Orders.
  • Gather quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions, aid in negotiation with procurement and vendor and acquire signatures if required.
  • Recommend new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends.
  • Submit deployment orders for IT projects and requests.
  • Follow all orders to ensure all items are tracked and received.
  • Inform stakeholders of PO issuance and any other details regarding orders including risk of project readiness or requested delivery date.
  • Manage existing vendor partnerships to ensure products and services are provided in a timely manner.
  • Build new relationships with key Technology vendors and follow required procurement sourcing policies and procedures.
  • Own and engage in TEMS (Telecom Expense Management Systems).
  • Own and engage in Comcast relationship and Circuit Ordering.
  • Analyzing operations spending metrics and offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Maintaining records and assisting with presentations
  • Preparing reports about project status, costs, and plans for future projects.
  • Reviewing and approving ROI and TCO plans for implementations.
  • Participates in budget development.
  • Promote a high level of customer satisfaction and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to IT requests which in turn limit user problems.
  • Evaluates workflows, organization, and planning.
  • Represent IT Architecture and enforce standards on technology projects.
  • Analyze the current IT environment, in relation to procurement, to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of application and infrastructure architecture standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all design, workflow, and analysis work.

Education, License and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or 5+ years in IT managed services environment.
  • Procurement systems experience preferred (COUPA, Oracle Financials)
  • TEMS systems experience preferred (Brightfin, Tangoe or equivalent)

Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT discipline Technical/Infrastructure architecture, in a multitier environment
  • Experience in diverse enterprise technologies and processing environments
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must possess the ability to document and describe complex problems in a clear and concise manner.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $100,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
