JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Social Media Specialist for a temporary contract role to enhance our hospitals' social media presence. This role involves creating and curating content systems, analyzing performance across key channels such as Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and managing all social media operations through Sprout Social.  The Specialist will develop SOPs, training materials, and social media best practices, and collaborate with the Brand Social Media Specialist to share insights and identify partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in social media management, strong content creation skills, and proven proficiency in Sprout Social and major platforms. Operating independently in a fast-paced environment, the Specialist will collaborate with the marketing team to develop content curation systems and processes across the team, drive engagement, grow audiences, and deliver actionable insights to support social media performance. 

This is a remote, temporary position expected to last approximately 5 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Development  

  • Create engaging, on-brand content for use across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Develop and maintain content calendars and posting schedules
  • Write compelling, platform-specific copy that aligns with brand voice; source, create, and edit visual content (graphics, photos, short-form video)
  • Monitor and evaluate content performance; optimize based on insights

 Platform Management & Best Practices

  • Stay current on social media best practices and emerging trends
  • Recommend platform-specific strategies to enhance reach and engagement
  •  Assist in the creation of social media guidelines and SOPs

·       Sprout Social Setup & Support

  • Manage Sprout Social setup, configuration, and optimization
  • Establish workflows for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting
  • Build custom dashboards and reports to track KPIs
  • Train team members on Sprout Social functionality and troubleshoot issues
  • Serve as primary liaison with Sprout Social support if technical issues arise

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–3 years of experience managing social media accounts with a proven ability to grow audiences and engagement
  • Proficiency in Sprout Social and deep familiarity with major platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
  • Basic graphic design or multimedia skills (e.g., Canva)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment

 

The compensation range for this temporary role is $30-35/hr. based on applicable experience.
