New England Animal Center – Primary Care is a growing 5-doctor small animal general practice located in West Bridgewater, MA. Our hospital branches from the New England Animal Medical Center Specialty & ER facility and was designed to provide exceptional primary care and surgical services in a calm, Fear Free environment.

We are proud to be an AAHA Certified and Fear Free Certified hospital, and we are currently looking for a Surgery Veterinary Technician who is passionate about surgery and wants to build their technical skills in a collaborative and supportive setting.




About Our Hospital

Our newly built, state-of-the-art facility was designed with both patients and staff in mind:

  • Hands-free digital X-ray technology
  • 9 spacious exam rooms

Position: Surgery Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a veterinary technician with an interest in surgery and anesthesia. This role is ideal for someone who already has foundational knowledge and wants to continue developing their surgical skillset.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary Technician experience preferred (CVT welcomed but not required)
  • Foundational knowledge of surgical preparation and sterile technique
  • Understanding of anesthesia monitoring and ASA classifications
  • Comfortable or developing confidence with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Passion for surgery, dentistry, and patient safety
  • Commitment to Fear Free handling and high-quality patient care

Technicians who are still growing their surgical confidence are encouraged to apply—our leadership team is committed to mentorship and training.




Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time considered 30 hours per week
  • Typical schedule: 3 days per week (3 x 10-hour shifts)
  • Flexible scheduling options available:
    • 4 days per week
    • 5 shorter shifts if preferred
  • $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience
  • $500 sign-on / retention bonus for CVTs
