New England Animal Center – Primary Care is a growing 5-doctor small animal general practice located in West Bridgewater, MA. Our hospital branches from the New England Animal Medical Center Specialty & ER facility and was designed to provide exceptional primary care and surgical services in a calm, Fear Free environment.
We are proud to be an AAHA Certified and Fear Free Certified hospital, and we are currently looking for a Surgery Veterinary Technician who is passionate about surgery and wants to build their technical skills in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Position: Surgery Veterinary Technician
We are seeking a veterinary technician with an interest in surgery and anesthesia. This role is ideal for someone who already has foundational knowledge and wants to continue developing their surgical skillset.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician experience preferred (CVT welcomed but not required)
- Foundational knowledge of surgical preparation and sterile technique
- Understanding of anesthesia monitoring and ASA classifications
- Comfortable or developing confidence with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Passion for surgery, dentistry, and patient safety
- Commitment to Fear Free handling and high-quality patient care
Technicians who are still growing their surgical confidence are encouraged to apply—our leadership team is committed to mentorship and training.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time considered 30 hours per week
- Typical schedule: 3 days per week (3 x 10-hour shifts)
- Flexible scheduling options available:
- 4 days per week
- 5 shorter shifts if preferred
- $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience
- $500 sign-on / retention bonus for CVTs
