Urgent Care Veterinarian | Fort Wayne, IN | No Overnights
Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital
Job Description
About Us:
The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) has provided the highest level of specialized small animal health care to our community since 2004. We grew out of a well-established, AAHA accredited, primary care clinic originally started in this location in 1967. Over the past 20 years, we have grown into one of the largest small animal emergency and specialty hospitals in the state.
Our facility offers services in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, and emergency and critical care. We have a team of board-certified specialists and emergency doctors committed to providing quality care to all patients. In 2015, NIVES became the only veterinary hospital in the state of Indiana to be certified as a Level II Critical Care Facility. This certification deems our hospital qualified to care for and treat even the most life-threatening cases. Our advanced diagnostic capabilities allow our doctors to diagnose and treat complicated medical conditions. These diagnostics include digital radiography, ultrasonography, electrocardiography, and computed tomography (CT).
Tired of the daily caseload of vaccinations, but not quite ready for the unknown of critical care cases? NIVES, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is looking to hire an additional veterinarian for our Urgent Care service line. Urgent Care focuses on non-critical patients in need of after-hours, weekend or immediate care.
We are interested in speaking to internship trained candidates and experienced GP or ER clinicians for this full time role.
This position will include care and services of non-critical care cases, to include skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc.
The full-time schedule will consist of a 3-day work week, 10 hour shifts, 12pm-10pm with no overnights! Ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Highly trained support staff and registered veterinary technicians will be working alongside our doctors. In addition, consultation with the specialists at NIVES is easy and a quick phone call away.
With this position, you’ll find a competitive benefits package including 401(k), CE, Health and Dental, Life, Disability and Professional Liability Insurance, professional dues and memberships, as well as a moving stipend.
NIVES serves the pet owners and veterinarians in the tri-state region of NE Indiana, SE Michigan and NW Ohio.
