Urgent Care Veterinarian - San Antonio, TX

MissionVet Specialty + Emergency

Job Description

** We are offering a generous sign on bonus. **

Do you love general practice but want the flexible schedule and work/life balance of shift work?

How would you like a three-day work week, great benefits and no on-call or afterhours responsibilities?

MissionVet Specialty + Emergency , located in San Antonio, TX, is looking to add Urgent Care Veterinarians to our growing team! The schedule will consist of 10-12 hour shifts, 3 days per week. Day shift, with no overnights!

We are expanding the services of our small animal multi-specialty & emergency center by augmenting our Emergency Services with Urgent Care/Fast Track Services. The Urgent Care/Fast Track department has been designed to meet a key need in our community and hospital. We are seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian. This position is open to new and experienced veterinarians. As an Urgent Care/Fast Track Veterinarian, you will see referred and walk-in outpatients for minor illnesses and injuries. The goals for the Urgent Care/Fast Track Service are to relieve pressure from our very busy ER department, and to help to strengthen our bond with referring veterinary community by being a resource when they need their patients cared for but cannot fit them into busy schedules. We strive to provide exceptional service to our clients in an effort to provide best medicine as well as reduce wait times.

You will end the day with a sense of accomplishment, knowing that you helped clients and pets in need without a mountain of callbacks and emails to return once the workday is done!

Our hospital is built on our dedication to client education, collaboration between veterinarians in our practice and in the referring community, compassion, and providing the absolute best medical care available.

The ideal candidate will be a positive person who enjoys helping others, helping staff continue to learn and grow, and who wants to continue to build a strong culture.

MissionVet Specialty & Emergency believes passionately in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in veterinary medicine. We believe in promoting a culture of collaboration striving to be a true partner within our facility and to those we serve outside of our hospital. Departments include Soft Tissue Surgery and Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and 24/7 emergency.
