Heron Creek Animal Hospital in North Port, FL, is expanding! We are on the lookout for a veterinarian with experience or a strong interest in urgent and emergency care.


Since 2006, our general practice has been dedicated to elevating the level of veterinary care in the community. We strive to create a fun and compassionate environment that benefits our staff, clients, and patients alike.


Our team of skilled veterinarians brings extensive expertise in Emergency and Critical Care, Dentistry, Dermatology, Ultrasound and advanced imaging, Internal Medicine, and integrative medicine. We also collaborate with a board-certified surgeon who performs specialized surgeries at our clinic.


At Heron Creek, we prioritize ongoing training and continuing education. We encourage surgical and dental opportunities for all our doctors and are open to expanding our exotic medicine services. Our technical and clerical staff benefit from regular seminars on critical veterinary issues and customer service.

Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a veterinarian
  • Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts preferred
  • Willingness to work holidays
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university 
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed 
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Compensation: 

  • $120-160K base salary depending on experience
  • This position is eligible for production-based bonuses
  • Relocation Assistance if needed
