Job Responsibilities:
- Build rapport with clients by gathering information, listening to, and empathizing with their concerns.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical procedures with high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with clients on diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive health care.
- Maintain up-to-date medical/surgical records and logs.
- Stay current with new medical information and veterinary practices.
- Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to ensure exceptional client service.
- Represent the hospital positively in the professional community.
Skills and Basic Qualifications:
- DVM or related degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure in good standing.
- Commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and ethics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with hospital team members.
- Confident and effective decision-making skills.
- Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development.
