Veterinarian | Everett, WA

Diamond Veterinary Hospital

Job Description

Diamond Veterinary Hospital, in Everett WA, is looking for a dynamic addition to our General Practice team.

Diamond Veterinary Hospital offers comprehensive GENERAL PRACTICE medicine for our small animal patients in Everett and the greater North Seattle Metro area.

We are an AAHA accredited team working together in a positive environment with professional and experienced support staff. We are committed to providing high-quality care, and we focus on work, life, and family balance.

This month we welcomed Dr. Susan Calverley to our team as acting Medical Director, and she has hit the ground running. Dr. Calverley has a positive, upbeat spirit that makes us all feel like the sky is the limit. She absolutely loves guiding her team and has already bonded with each and every staff member.

One of Dr. Calverley's biggest passions is sharing her love of veterinary medicine through mentorship. Our biggest goal this year is growth, and we have been happily welcoming the graduating class of 2024 through externships, site visits, and interviews.

Dr. Calverley is also looking for experienced doctors to jump on board and partner with her in this growth endeavor. Diamond is a large, full-service, small animal GP hospital with ER and Urgent Care capabilities. The possibilities are endless, and all areas of medical interest would be entertained. Dr. Calverley herself has a background in rehabilitation and physiotherapy including water treatment as she was a former water polo player! She is certified in acupuncture and has worked closely with OrthoPets (orthotics and prosthetics) for years. We would love to encourage your passions as well!

Now that she has joined the Diamond Family and is supported by NVA, we have a plan in place toward the development of a larger team. We indent to champion this team by focusing on heightened CE opportunities, surgical/dental and diagnostic developmental training, and equipment upgrades as needed. Our most important focus is clinic culture and positive collaboration.

What we are offering:

  • Compensation projection of $120K + (we pay with a Salary-Plus model that allows for diligent work ethic to be rewarded consistently)
  • Signing and retention bonuses upon contract commitment
  • Full Benefits including health care, dental coverage and a 401K with match
  • Flexible scheduling and Paid Time Off
  • Variety of Caseload – we see small animal GP with urgent care opportunities
  • Annual commitment to Continued Education (time and cost coverage) & continued Professional Development
  • All Experience Levels Welcome

About our hospital:

  • Remodeled in 2018, we have eight exam rooms, a large treatment area with five treatment tables, a "quiet room", a separate cat room, isolation facilities, separate radiography and ultrasound rooms, a dental suite, and a surgical suite.
  • Have access to a surgical laser, 2 ultrasound machines, digital dental radiography, digital tabletop radiography, a full complement of IDEXX in house lab analyzers, steam autoclave and gas sterilization, ultrasonic dental scaler, high-speed handpieces, and we now have in house cortisol testing.
  • Join a team of collaborative doctors who enjoy supporting all patients through illnesses with services that include IV fluid support, oxygen therapy, critical care monitoring, emergency surgical services, and blood transfusions.

For over 60 years, Diamond Veterinary Hospital in Everett has been providing top-quality care using the latest technology and medications to our patients.  Our support staff consists of multiple credentialed technicians trained in emergency & critical care.

We would love to meet you.
