Job Description

Colony Animal Clinic is a progressive, fast-paced three doctor veterinary clinic located in downtown Fairhope Alabama. We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented associate veterinary to join our team! Our goal is to provide high quality veterinary care with excellent client service. Our ideal candidate would have great communication skills while expressing a friendly and compassionate spirit, working in a team setting.
About the clinic:
Colony Animal Clinic is a small animal hospital that was established in 2013 by Dr. William Morrison. Remodeled in 2017, we have grown in space, adding more kennels, two suites for dogs that include a TV, a fresh water fish tank for the cats, that stay in the comfort of condo’s, and a colorful salt water tank in the reception area. Our small animal practice thrives on making our clients, the four legged and the two legged, as comfortable as we can. Most of the team at Colony is also Fear Free certified!

* Newly renovated treatment room, exam rooms and boarding facility as of 2017.
* Staff to DVM ratio is 5.5:1
Scheduling:
All of our DVM’s work a 4-day week work schedule which allows for a consistent off day for a great work-life balance. Our clinic is open 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, while our doctors come in around 8:30-9am. Our doctors rotate weekend hospitalization duties which most of the time can be done remotely, over-the-phone with a nurse that is in the clinic caring for the patient. Colony is also in an emergency weekend call rotation with a few other local veterinary clinics where every 5-7 weeks you would be responsible for answering client-only emergency calls Saturday-Sunday between 8am-5pm.

Fairhope is well-known for being one of the most charming towns in the South, and the people here are inviting and friendly. With a population of about 17,000, Fairhope sits on bluffs that overlook Mobile Bay, so you're never far from a view of the water. From delicious restaurants to high-end boutique clothiers, Fairhope has a very vibrant and pedestrian friendly downtown where "locally-owned" is the theme. Adjacent to downtown is the Fairhope Pier and Bayfront Park which is the site for various community activities and celebrations throughout the year. Fairhope is about 20 miles from downtown Mobile and only 32 miles away from Gulf Shores which is popular for their large white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
