Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Longmeadow Animal Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small animal care, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. As a veterinarian at Longmeadow Animal Hospital, you will work alongside a skilled team of veterinary professionals, providing comprehensive care.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary medical care to dogs and cats, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions.
  • Perform routine wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, dental cleanings, and other preventive care services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for ill or injured animals and provide follow-up care as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, educating them about preventive care, treatment options, and ongoing health management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Keep current with the latest veterinary medical practices, treatments, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid Maryland veterinary license or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in small animal care is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform a variety of veterinary procedures, including surgeries and dentistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
