Pet Samaritan Clinic, located in Portland, OR, is a well-established small animal veterinary practice located in the heart of the city. For over 100 years our clinic has been dedicated to servicing the pets in our community through exceptional care, client education and community service projects. The well-being of our patients and the people who get to have them as their companions is of our most important priority. We currently offer services to cats, dogs and most pocket pets. We offer in-house ultrasound, full dentistry capability, and an array of surgical procedures. We are paperless and use the AviMark software system. Our staff has a combined number of years in the field that well exceeds the usual amount; some team members have been here 20+ years and still love the job!


We are looking to add an experienced Veterinarian to our Pet Sam Family. Are you the one we are looking for? Or the more important question, are we the one you have been looking for? Our team prides itself on work life balance while still being able to put our patients’ needs on the forefront. After all, we cannot take the best care of them without taking care of ourselves.


ABOUT THE HOSPITAL


  •  In-house laboratory capabilities for selected blood chemistries (Vet Test chemistry system), urinalysis and sediments, PCV, TP, fe-leuk, and various ELISA tests run by technicians. Also, close association with IDEXX full-service clinical and pathological laboratories.
  •  In-house ECEGs run and interpreted
  • In house Ultrasound  
  • Digital Dental Radiography   
  • Digital Radiography                          
  •  Iso anesthesia, blood pressure monitor and pulse oximeter
  • Multiple wet tables – dentistry is a major focus for our hospital
  • Avimark software

We are nestled nicely in the Kerns/Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland. In every direction, there is a coffee shop or happy hour. There are dog parks nearby and a short walk to the beautiful Willamette River. Several boarding and obedience locations to refer out to as well as specialty hospitals & ERs. Restaurants, breweries, and many boutiques line our neighborhood blocks. New housing developments that are eco-friendly are being added to the neighborhood faster than we can count.
