Oak Animal Hospital located in Vacaville, CA is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our practice! Offering a $40,000 sign-on bonus.


The doctor joining our team can expect full benefits, flexible schedule, mentorship and collaboration. If you're looking to relocate to California, please note that the CA State Board Exam has been eliminated! 
 

Since 1984, Oak Animal Hospital has provided compassionate and quality care for small animals in Vacaville, California. We are a complete medical facility featuring the latest in surgical, laboratory and diagnostic equipment.

We believe that prevention is the best medicine and only through communication and education can this be accomplished. Please note that we have a very wide compensation range depending on experience - a new grad will have a lower base than a DVM who has practiced for decades.

About the hospital and position:

  • We are a multi-doctor progressive practice that offers state-of-the-art medical care 
  • We are highly focused on wellness, surgeries, dental and preventive medicine
  • Our equipment includes:
    • Digital x-ray
    • Brand new digital dental x-ray, anesthesia machines, wet table for dentals and in the process of acquiring even more exciting tools!
    • Digital Dental Radiographs
    • Complete in-house laboratory, as well as Idexx referral lab 
    • Ultrasound
    • Dedicated surgery suite 
  • We area a highly collaborative team here at Oak. Whether you are a new graduate, experienced DVM, or somewhere in between – we are here to work with you!
  • Our client base is incredibly loyal. Sometimes driving all the way from Placerville or San Jose because of the way they are treated. At the same note – we do not tolerate abusive clients!
  • $110k-$130k base salary with production
  • Up to 40K Sign-On Bonus (must start role in 2024)
  • 3-4 day work weeks, no weekends!
  • Our support staff is second to none to help you work through the complicated cases in addition to your DVM colleagues.
  • We encourage and support the cultivation of doctors' special veterinary interests. Valerie Chen, DVM, performs acupuncture and prescribes traditional herbal medications to many of our clients.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for our pets including dogs, cats and some exotics (rodents and rabbits), some surgery, dental, and making sure our clients are happy and taken care of. Vacaville is a growing suburban city in the farm to fork region and the Davis area is right around the corner! Sitting between San Francisco and Sacramento, Vacaville is a mixture of rolling hills and scenic flatlands. Vacaville boasts many shopping areas such as the Factory Stores and new Nut Tree. There is also Pena Adobe, an open space that is great for a hike.
