Brentwood Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Brentwood, CA.

What to expect at our hospital:

  • AAHA accredited
  • Small animal GP only - no ER
    • 80% dogs, 20% cats roughly
  • Usually 3-4 Doctors working at a time
  • Updated equipment which includes-
    • Updated Anesthesia Monitoring equipment
    • Digital X-ray, Digital Dental X-Ray
    • Brand new ultrasound with cardiac capabilities
    • Hydroclorine as gas of choice
  • Seasoned staff and loyal clientele (most of the support staff have been here 18-20 years)
  • Electronic record system.
  • 2:1 Tech to Dr. ratio

Scheduling That Prioritizes Work-Life Balance:

  • Healthy work life balance which for us equates to NO WEEKENDS, leaving work on time and no tolerating abusive clients.
  • 4-day work weeks (when working full-time) with 1.5 hours scheduled and blocked for lunch and catch up.
  • Appointment scheduling structured to ensure doctors can leave on time.
     
    •  Appointment times flexible- 20, 30 mins or more. New grad doctors can do 30 or 60 min appointments. We’ll block more time depending on the procedure.
    •  Daily surgical slots are rotated and scheduled in for each doctor.  

Compensation That Values You

  • ProSal compensation: $110k+ base, negotiable per experience.
  • Sign on bonus of $10k.
  • Retention bonus of up to $40k total available. 
  • 3 weeks paid vacation time, in addition to sick time offered.
  • Competitive Benefits including- medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K with an employer match, coverage for CEs/Dues.

Qualifications: Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.
