Job Description

Animal Care Center of Panama City Beach is a full-service veterinary medical facility offering GP, urgent care, and after-hours emergency services. Our 4-doctor practice is currently seeking a Veterinarian to join our team. The hospital is located in the panhandle of Florida on the emerald waters and white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. We focus on providing progressive small animal preventative and diagnostic medicine and general surgery.

We have a diverse team and everyone brings something valuable and unique.  Our team atmosphere is light-hearted and laid-back with a little dry humor mixed in. We practice great medicine and keep our work fun! Communication is highly valued to maintain our cohesive team. We have daily rounds, weekly updates, and quarterly all-team meetings. Our tenured support staff are experts in a variety of clinical skills and can be counted upon to take care of all technician responsibilities.  Our doctors are collaborative, discussing cases and jump in to support one another.  The doctors are leaders in the practice. They have the autonomy to make the decisions that best fit their patient and client.

A successful candidate would be an experienced, well-rounded general practitioner.  We are seeking a solution-oriented, passionate, confident doctor with a leadership mindset. ABOUT THE HOSPITAL 

Our practice provides high-quality progressive medical, surgical, and dental care for our highly-valued patients and offers:

 

  • 8,000 square foot modern building with 3 standard exam rooms and a consultation room, treatment area with 3 treatment tables, double surgery suite, isolation ward, and oxygen intensive care unit. ~Renovation/expansion began in 2024 with phase 1 to be completed by Febuary 2025 and phase 2 later in 2025~
  • In-house IDEXX laboratory equipment (ability to do thorough diagnostics in-house).
  • Digital radiographs using IDEXX’s I-Vision DR system. Isoflurane & Sevoflurane anesthesia, vessel sealer and electro-cautery surgical units, ultrasonic dental equipment, dental radiography, and excellent surgical monitoring capabilities.
  • Available diagnostic and treatment equipment includes ultrasound, Doppler, TonoVERA Vet tonometry, ECG, and Companion Therapy Laser.
  • AVImark software - Paperlight
  • Fully stocked pharmacy
  • Relationships with local rescues and zoo
  • The schedule is flexible, but evenings and/or weekends will be required
