Oak Knoll is a small animal practice looking to add an Associate Veterinarian to our team. We’re committed to providing compassionate care and guidance for pet parents. We are guided by our core values of family, service excellence, guidance, devotion and compassion. As a well-established practice that has been operating out of the same location for over 55 years, we encourage our doctors to pursue and cultivate their veterinary interests. 


We have flexible and rigid endoscopes, electrocautery, and a fully stocked surgical suite with basic and advanced surgical instrumentation. We also believe that excellent service is an ongoing process, and have been continually working to improve our standards of care and client service. We are a team of passionate individuals that work together to encourage and support each other. 


New grads welcome!  

For new graduates, this position will be included in the NVA Illinois Mentorship Program. In this program, our Associate Veterinarians will have access to:

  • One on one surgical and medical support from Dr. Sandra Faeh, current VP of AVMA, an NVA practice owner, and Illinois Mentor
  • Suite of wellness programming focusing on stress management and cultivating a balanced approach to your life
  • Cohort of other new graduate ADVMs in Illinois with planned social events, team bonding, and engagement, regardless of current clinic worked in          

About the Hospital:

  • We have gone paper-lite and have computers and credit card terminals in all exam rooms
  • Dental machine
  • Ultrasound 
  • In-house labs 
  • Doppler blood pressure machine, monitoring equipment, tonometer
  • Now offering wellness plans to make wellness care more affordable to pet owners

Recently, we added digital dental radiographs and a new dental suite! We are also interested in continuing to partner with local pet service businesses, and expanding our business hours to accommodate more/new clientele.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
