Veterinarian

Forest Glen Animal Hospital

Job Description

What if you could practice in the heart of the city, and help write a neighborhood institution’s next chapter?

Forest Glen Animal Hospital has served Chicago’s Jefferson Park neighborhood since 1963, and it’s entering an exciting new chapter under fresh Medical Director leadership. This is a chance to join a trusted, AAHA-accredited practice with loyal, highly compliant clients and real room to shape where the hospital goes next, all without ever leaving the city.

The Opportunity:

A chance to help shape the future of a beloved, established Northwest Side practice

Loyal, highly compliant clients who support preventive care, chronic case management, and thorough diagnostic workups

A consistently busy dentistry caseload that can include advanced level 2 and 3 extractions

Ideal for a forward-thinking DVM with 2 to 5 years of experience; interest in client education or community outreach is a plus

The Resources:

An AAHA-accredited and AAFP Cat Friendly, 5,000-square-foot hospital with five exam rooms and an open, collaborative layout

Bright surgical suite with one large surgery area and two tables, plus a large treatment area and isolation room

Advanced dentistry setup with digital dental x-ray

GE Versana ultrasound, digital radiographs, in-house blood work, and a large in-house pharmacy

The Lifestyle:

Live in the city itself, on tree-lined Northwest Side streets known as the “Gateway to Chicago”

Grab ribs at the legendary Gale Street Inn or a Chicago-style dog at Superdawg, and catch a show at the historic Copernicus Center

Skip the car with the Blue Line and Metra both minutes away, connecting you to all of downtown

ProSal Compensation & Benefits:

Starting salary of $120,000–$130,000 plus production bonuses

     401(k) with company match

Access to CE courses (dentistry, ultrasound, surgery, and more) at NVA’s nearby PetOne Training Center in Addison, IL

Professional liability coverage, DEA and state licensing, and VIN membership

PTO, paid CE, and CE/licensing reimbursement

     Comprehensive health insurance coverage plans

     Generous staff pet discounts

Final compensation commensurate with experience, skills, schedule, and scope of services provided

If you want to practice in the city you love while helping build something lasting, this is your sign.
