Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital

Job Description

Looking for wide-open skies, endless adventure, and a hospital where you can practice at the top of your game? We’ve got a spot for you — and a free year of housing to help you make it happen!

At Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital, you’ll find a rare blend of cutting-edge medicine, natural beauty, and the freedom to build a deeply fulfilling career. Just 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe, our 15,000 sq. ft. AAHA-accredited hospital is a regional hub — drawing clients from across Nevada and neighboring states for our advanced diagnostics, specialized care, and collaborative team.

We are a busy GP/ER hybrid hospital with no overnights or late call, a steady stream of urgent care and emergency cases, and the equipment and support to practice gold-standard medicine every day.

The Opportunity:
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who loves variety, thrives on complex cases, and wants to build lasting relationships in a community that truly values its doctors. You’ll see everything from wellness visits and dentistry to emergency cases and advanced surgeries — supported by a 14-doctor team and full staff (3:1 ratio with LVTs). Our veterinarians each average $1M+ in annual production, with some exceeding $2M.

Our Resources:

  • 15,000 sq. ft. facility with mountain views and natural light

  • 14-doctor team with a collaborative, progressive spirit

  • On-site CT machine

  • Digital and dental radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and therapeutic laser

  • Multiple surgery suites and separate dental suites

  • Full IDEXX in-house laboratory

  • 21 exam rooms for efficient, high-volume caseloads

  • 60+ years of trusted community presence and AAHA accreditation

The Lifestyle:
Carson Valley is where wide-open skies meet modern convenience. You’ll find mountain views, top-rated schools, and local charm — with Starbucks, Costco, and Trader Joe’s just down the road. Outdoor adventure is endless, with world-class skiing, hiking, fishing, and boating at Lake Tahoe minutes away. Nevada’s no state income tax makes the move even sweeter.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Free year of housing

  • $140,000–$190,000 base salary (depending on experience)

  • 21%+ production bonus, paid monthly

  • 50% production on emergency and after-hours appointments
