Animal Hospital of Worthington located in Worthington, OH is looking to add an experienced Associate Veterinarian to our growing team!

Animal Hospital of Worthington is a full service small animal veterinary practice located in Worthington, Ohio, a beautiful northern suburb of Columbus. We place emphasis on wellness care, geriatric medicine, osteoarthritis and chronic pain management, dentistry and surgery. We have a in-house diagnostics, digital full and dental radiography, and two beautiful surgical suites, but also have access to 24-hour emergency care and boarded specialists in all areas of medicine and surgery through The Ohio State University Veterinary College and MedVet Columbus. 


This mix gives us the ability to provide the most advanced care for our clients and patients, while having a reasonable work load with time off to enjoy friends and family. We are a proud member of the National Veterinary Associates (NVA) family of hospitals and have been since 1997!


ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

  •      Collaborative team of 6 veterinarians, 9 RVTs, and 9 Assistants
  •      AAHA Accredited since 1978
  •      Large reception area with room to separate dogs and cats
  •      Five fully equipped examination rooms 
  •      Newly remodeled second building that houses rehabilitation, surgery, dentistry, and radiology
  •     Two fully equipped surgical suites with electrocautery and radiosurgery
  •      Fully equipped 2-table dental suite complete with digital dental radiography
  •      Dedicated surgery/dental staff made up entirely of RVTs and RVT students
  •  Rehabilitation suite complete with underwater treadmill, managed by an RVT certified in canine rehabilitation.
  •      Direct digital radiography unit
  •      Ultrasound and internal medicine consultations done on-site with a mobile internal medicine specialist
  •      IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment including chemistry, CBC, and urine analyzers
  •      Class IV therapy laser
  •      Complete in-house pharmacy and robust online pharmacy

Central Ohio is an economic “hot spot” of the state. Columbus is the state capital and is headquarters for multiple businesses such as Nationwide Insurance, The Limited Corporation, AEP, and several banking institutions. It is also the location of the newest Intel facility. It is a center of research and development with Battelle Memorial Institute and The Ohio State University headlining this area. It is home to the world famous Columbus Zoo and multiple sports teams including the Columbus Blue Jackets NHL team, the Columbus Clippers AAA baseball team, the Columbus Crew MLS team, and of course, THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Columbus is within a few hours of two of the world’s best amusement parks (Cedar Point and King’s Island) and there are numerous cultural and recreational activities available in and around the area. It is also a transportation hub for the area with easy access to the city (a 30 minute drive for any of the suburbs will get you downtown).

  • Daytime schedule (8a-5p during the week and rotating 8am-2pm Saturdays. No Sundays or major holidays). Schedule includes a day off during the week - you get a 4 day work week! 
  • ProSal compensation model: $135,000 base (DOE) with 22% production bonus
