Veterinarian

East End Veterinary Medical Centre

Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian (experienced or newer grad) to join our team at East End Veterinary Medical Centre in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

Our Managing Veterinarian, Dr. Berner, fully supports a good work/life balance. You’ll be in the office max 45 hours per week and generally speaking we operate at 40 hours/week. Of course, we take our job seriously but like to have fun too! You’ll see us joking around as we are a fairly relaxed group of individuals who love to collaborate. We host weekly staff meetings, and the doctors meet once a month as time allows.

We are most proud of the culture we’ve created. East End Veterinary Medical Centre is a very professional practice with a tight knit team who all value work/life balance. Because of this, we have experienced growth every year even through difficult times.

By us adding another member to our team, we will have the ability to get our current clients in the door faster and open the doors to others.

Our team currently consists of 4 Vets with plans of expanding both in terms of staff/doctors. We recently expanded our physical space by adding 3 exam rooms, a comfort room, and dual dental suite.  We provide wellness, surgery (including ortho for those who’d like to learn), diagnostics and treatment, dental services and we just added ultrasound services. East End Veterinary Medical Centre is a dog and cat exclusive hospital but would add others if someone was interested. No on call. Closed on most national holidays.

We offer a competitive salary and bonus program. Extra incentives such as signing bonus, relocation assistance and retention bonus to name a few. Health benefits including dental and vision. 401K with match. Paid vacation/sick time. Paid dues/fees. Paid liability insurance as well as your DEA and State Licensure. Short term/Long term disability. Life Insurance. Legal coverage. Highly encourage continuing education and therefore provide days and an allowance. Formal Mentorship Program for newer graduates and much more!

East End Veterinary Medical Centre is located in a very nice residential neighborhood called Shadyside. There are a lot of young professionals, great restaurants and popular retail stores. If you’re a coffee lover, we have multiple coffee shops within walking distance. Looking for some ‘big city’ excitement. Downtown Pittsburgh is just 15 minutes away, giving you access to the Arts and Music scene, Ballets, and Opera. Sports Fan? Today, the city has three major professional sports franchises, the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. The Pittsburgh area has numerous parks and trails if you like to hike or bike ride. We truly have something for everyone.
